The Assessment Foundation, built up from its predecessor Incerts, provides formative assessment tools to over 1,000 schools across England and Wales. They’re passionate about putting assessment at the heart of giving every child a transformational learning experience, and to date have helped assess 213,00 children with 18 million assessments. It clear that they know a thing or two about providing excellent services to schools, but after its rebrand they needed a bit of help.
WHAT WE DID
Initially they approached us on social media after seeing our education blog. They knew that we had lots of experience in working with the education sector, so they thought we’d be a good fit (they were right!). They wanted to refocus and clarify their message, particularly on their website. Alongside this, they wanted to increase their visibility and awareness nationally. The Assessment Foundation had done a lot of work with the Welsh Government, partnering with GL Assessment to design the Foundation Phase profile, so they were looking for a way to scale their brand out of Wales and into the rest of the UK, as well as making sure the existing marketplace knew that The Assessment Foundation was Insert’s new name.
To help them get a better idea of the message they were trying to share, we started with their website. We took some of their existing webpages and rewrote them in several different styles so they could see what tone of voice suited them best. Once we’d tested out a few, and got to grips with how they wanted to express themselves, we rewrote their whole website (take a peek here).
We’re passionate about helping the next generation to succeed, so we were really pleased to have worked with a foundation that felt that way too.
